My love of the Hilton Garden Inn, Kitty Hawk, NC

12On this blustery March 2017 day, I reflect back to many visits to the Outer Banks and one of my favorite places to stay, the Hilton Garden Inn, Kitty Hawk, North Carolina.  I have been staying at this property since its grand opening. I appreciate the convenience of it being the first real hotel once you cross the Wright Memorial Bridge on to the Outer Banks. Its prime location gives you the opportunity to be close to everything and is a central location to head north to Duck & Corolla or head south to Kill Devil Hills, Nags Head and on down to Cape Hatteras.

This property boasts many amenities from ocean view and ocean front rooms each with its own balcony, mini fridge, microwave, flat screen TV, along with the property’s indoor and outdoor pools, workout facility, full service restaurant, lounge, meeting rooms, lovely courtyard with outdoor seating along with a dune top deck with chairs to “enjoy the view”.  It is the perfect place for families, couples, weddings, reunions as there is something for everyone at this beautiful hotel.

For those who enjoy quality beach time,  during in-season there is beach side equipment rental of chairs, umbrellas, etc. For those boogie board and skim board enthusiasts, this area of beaches in front of the hotel is prime area to catch a great wave. There is also a fishing pier you can enjoy a day of fishing. If you have a special event or wedding, their pier house ballroom offers spectacular views sitting on the pier with sweeping views of the ocean and shoreline in addition to special events meeting facilities inside the hotel.

Be sure to get up early and capture a sunrise which changes every day and season or enjoy some quiet time as the sun sets behind the hotel, as it is the perfect place to “enjoy the view”.
